Training

Training is something that should never end, whether your a new comer or an old timer.

Hoodview Amateur Radio Club is committed to helping you learn.

Training takes many forms at HARC. We provide structured classes so that it becomes easy for you to pass your Technician, General, or Extra class exams. General and Technicians classes are held at Gresham City Hall (space permitting) We also have training hosted in homes to provide a more rapid response to your training needs. In addition, you will find many Elmers, people willing to pull along side, to help you learn.

The next set of classes starting in the spring of 2012. If you have thought about getting your 1st license or upgrading to General now is your chance. 

TECHNICIAN CLASS SCHEDULED

We have reserved Mt. Hood Community College's HF1 for two Saturdays for a Technician Class.  The dates are November 5 and 12 and the time will be 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM each day.

Rather than having a VE exam on the second day we will refer the class to the regular VE exam on the following Saturday Nov. 19^th. This will allow more time for instruction and time for the students to prepare and practice for the exam.

Classes starting soon and runs for 2 Saturdays on November 5th. Cost is a $5  donation for handouts plus the cost of book, $24.95.  Books are available for purchase at class.  Contact Ed, N7TL 503 2574822  for information on the next class.

General Classes

Extra Class Study Group

We are gathering a list of names of those amateurs that are interested in starting an extra class study group. Please contact Ed to join the list.

Code Classes  

Remember the FCC will no longer requires a CW  (Morse Code)  exam as of 2/23/07. 

Check the calendar for the next VE exam test session hosted by a  team of VE's.

Scholarships offered at Mt Hood Community College by HARC
